Infrastructure Update - Main Street Improvements
Major infrastructure improvements are coming to Main Street, with construction set to begin June 1st. The project will enhance roadways and update critical utilities serving the heart of Trona’s business district.
Project Scope
Road Resurfacing - Complete repaving of Main Street from Center to Prospector Avenue. New surface will be more durable and safer for vehicles and pedestrians.
Utility Upgrades - Installation of new water and electrical lines designed to support business growth and improve reliability. Underground conduit installation will reduce visual clutter.
Sidewalk Improvements - Expanded, safer pedestrian pathways with improved lighting and accessibility features.
Parking Enhancements - Addition of 15 new parking spaces near retail areas.
Timeline & Impact
Phase 1 (June-July) - Main Street north section, Center to Prospector Phase 2 (August-September) - Main Street south section, Prospector to Desert View
Businesses will remain open throughout construction with temporary access measures in place. Local businesses are encouraged to participate in planning discussions.
Community Input
A public meeting is scheduled for May 20th at 6 PM at the Community Center to address questions and hear community feedback. Project managers will be available to discuss the improvements and answer concerns.
